June 14, 2005 - My desk
It’s getting to be that time of year, and for the longest time I have Been excited for Summer, but yesterday, Mr. B turned it into a dull experience. Well, technically it’s not his fault that [the middle school] wants us to work like dogs over the summer, is it? Not really…But no matter whose fault it is, we still have to do all the work. It’s like homework over the Summer!! I was looking forward to a whole three months of slacking off!
UH-OH! Just realized a sad fact: If [the middle school] wants us to work this hard over the Summer, then WHAT WILL THE ACTUAL year be like?!

Only 13 days ‘til I, Katerina Nicole G*******, am 10 1/2!
But besides that, today, we’re making chocolate chip cookies! And we have a choral concert (blah) today. We are going to have a fast week. The 4th grade luncheon is Tomorrow, [Field Day] on Fri.
Yesterday, I was thinking about where I’d be now if a certain phone call didn’t happen. Who knew that two girls saved me? Remember to thank them Marie and Alice. My pencil is getting dull…I’m back. Anyway, I must have zoned out for 10 minutes thinking and I would have been still doing it, if I didn’t have anything to do. Marie, when you are done reading, close the book.

Really I am supposed to be reading, but whatever.
There was an odd puzzle in my math homework:
A man has six houses. In each house he keeps six cats. Each cat has six whiskers. Each whisker has six fleas.
Last line of puzzle: Houses, cats, whiskers, fleas - How many in all?
In all = 1,554.
Remember this riddle.
Monday, May 30, 2005 - almost dinner
Today, I went on the computer until 12:00. Then, I played Barbies. After like 2 hours, I went to the dollar store and got two things: my notebook and Recies Pieces.
My sister got two things also: a light house sculpture, a bug carrier, and sweet tarts.
I just got home, and Mom + Dad are making dinner. Mmmmmm…oh sorry! I was eating some of My Recies Pieces. Man, I love the stuff. Oh! Luci’s gonna attempt to catch a bug! I’ve gotta see this!
